A VISIBLE IMPROVEMENT IN LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS TRAINING
Category II and III The Low Visibility Operations course is produced to provide comprehensive training on all aspects of the Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) recommendations on the subject. It is a fresh look at the facts involved in low visibility operations both on the ground and in the air. To obtain the Initial Low Visibility qualification this course provides the theoretical aspects prior to the simulator training sessions. This course is also ideal to use prior to the Annual Recurrent training session in the simulator. The program gives generic information on a wide range of subjects, including airport equipment and lighting, responsibilities of ATC, and the visual effects, caused by such restrictions to visibility as fog, rain and snow. A new module covering EU-OPS, Subpart E has been added to our Low Visibility Operations course. This module provides training on the new EU OPS regulations introduced in July 2008. The content covers the subjects: Aerodrome Operating Minimum, RVR/CMV and new ILS Approaches, LTS and OTS This module is now available to all customers on its own or by selecting our Low Visibility CAT II/ III Operations 2009 course.
