Refresher training

Finnair Flight Academy provides a range of Refresher Training courses that allow a pilot to renew a licence that has expired. Three standard Refresher Training courses are available in addition to customised options according to customer needs.

3 day refresher training

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for 6 to 12 months.

• Technical systems training (CBT)*
• Performance weight & balance self study 
• One full flight simulator session
• Type Proficiency Check

5 day refresher training

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for 12 to 24 months.

• Technical systems training (CBT)*
• Performance weight & balance self study
• Safety eqpt&doors training 
• Two full flight simulator sessions 
• Type Proficiency Check

8 day refresher training

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for 24 to 36 months.

• Performance weight & balance lessons 
• Safety eqpt&doors training 
• Four full flight simulator sessions
• Type Proficiency Check

*Technical systems training is available in eLearning format. You can study at home and reduce accommodation cost at location.
